Metal Roofing
We install 24-gauge and 26-gauge steel standing seam panels in Galvalume and pre-painted finishes. Concealed fastener clips allow the panels to expand and contract with temperature changes without stress on the fasteners. That's why standing seam doesn't leak. The clips float.

Shingle Roofing
GAF Timberline HDZ. The best-selling shingle in North America. With StrikeZone nailing area for consistent fastener placement. Class A fire rating per UL 790, Class 4 impact resistance per UL 2218 (when installed in the GAF Roof System), and Class H wind rating per ASTM D7158 (130 mph). We install Timberline in the full GAF system to qualify for Golden Pledge warranty: 25-year non-prorated workmanship plus 50-year materials with WindProven limited wind warranty (no max speed). That warranty is why we recommend GAF for most Topaz homes.

Flat Roofing
PVC membrane for Topaz restaurants, commercial kitchens, and facilities with rooftop grease exhaust or chemical exposure. PVC resists oils and animal fats that destroy TPO and EPDM membranes. We install IB Roof Systems and Duro-Last PVC with factory-fabricated accessories for watertight penetration details. Built-up roofing (BUR) uses 3 or 4 plies of fiberglass felt in hot asphalt with a gravel or cap sheet surface. Oldest proven flat roof system, with 30+ year service life in California. We still install BUR when the application calls for it.

Commercial Roofing
TPO is our most-installed commercial membrane in Topaz. 60-mil thickness, hot-air welded seams, mechanically attached or fully adhered over polyiso insulation. The weld is stronger than the membrane. 15-20 year manufacturer warranties depending on system build-up.

Gutter Installation
We install gutter guards for homeowners who are done cleaning gutters twice a year. Micro-mesh over the opening, screwed into the front lip. Leaves and pine needles sit on top and blow off. Not 100% maintenance-free, but close. You might hose them once a year.

Emergency Roof Repair
Emergency protocol for active water intrusion: (1) interior containment. Buckets, plastic sheeting, water extraction if accessible, (2) exterior tarping with 20x30 heavy-duty poly sheeting over damaged area extending minimum 4 feet past damage on all sides, (3) secure with 2x4 nailer boards lag-screwed to the roof deck (not through shingles), (4) secondary tarp overlap for multi-section damage, (5) document with timestamped photos for insurance. Permanent repair scheduled within 48-72 hours once materials are sourced.

Skylight Installation
Solar-powered VELUX skylights qualify for the 30% federal solar tax credit through 2032. The blinds and opening mechanism run on a built-in solar panel. No wiring needed. We install them in Topaz all the time. Good light, fresh air, and a tax write-off.
